From July 11 to 16, 2022, Dr. Ignacio Silva, Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, participated in conferences in the United Kingdom:

• 2022 IRC Conference in Honour of Alister McGrath, Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, University of Oxford
• 3rd Annual Conference of the International Research Network for the Study of Science and Belief in Society, University of Birmingham.

During the first event, dedicated to Alister McGrath, the third Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion19 at the University of Oxford, Dr. Silva engaged in a meeting with Latin American colleagues in connection with Professor McGrath’s latest lecture as a professor.

During the second conference, Dr. Silva delivered a talk titled «Early Twentieth Neo Thomist Receptions of Science.» Additionally, Dr. Claudia Vanney, Director of the Institute of Philosophy, virtually presented a talk titled «Social Intellectual Virtues for Interdisciplinary Studies of Science and Belief in Society» at the same event.
