The monthly seminar “Person, Mind & Brain” will take place seven times a year and will represent the spine of our project, since it will gather all members on a regular basis. It will consist of selected presentations, which will cover alternatively scientific, philosophical and theological perspectives on the human person, with the purpose of reaching cross-disciplinary understanding.
The importance of this activity is that it allows scientists and philosophers to become real partners in the common quest for knowledge. Philosophers will be able to follow the progress of the experimental research, and scientists will reach a wider understanding of their findings. The seminar will thus increase the motivation to pursue their own investigations.
Presentations should last 60 minutes, with another 60 minutes allotted for discussion.
